제1회 成醫학술제 성료
의과대학(학장 최연호)에서 주관한 <제1회 成醫학술제>가 성황리에 마무리되었다.
成醫학술제는 우리 의과대학에서 시행하는 학생연구 프로그램으로, 연구역량과 과학적 접근 시각을 갖춘 미래의과학자 양성 및 학생성공 강화를 위하여 2020학년도부터 시행되었다.
이번 프로그램에는 의학과 2학년 29명의 재학생 전원이 참가하였고, 2.3(수)~2.4(목) 2일 간 임상교육장 복도에 학생들의 연구 초록 포스터를 게재하였고 2.5(금)에는 학생들의 1년간의 연구 결과를 발표하고 시상하는 심포지엄이 개최되었다.
시상식은 2월 5일(금) 임상교육장 히포크라테스홀에서 은상까지의 수상자만 참가한 가운데 개최되었다. 29명 중 20명이 다음과 같이 수상하게 되었다.

<대상을 수상한 허인 학생>
대상을 수상한 허인(성균관대학교 의학과 3학년) 학생은 “교과서에서는 가르쳐 주지 않는 사실이 있다면, 환자의 치료를 위해 치열하게 싸우는 또 다른 전장이 바로 연구실 안이라는 점입니다. 학생 연구 프로그램을 통해 그 또 다른 세계에 직접 몸 담고 부딪혀 볼 수 있었기에 정말 값진 경험이었습니다”라는 소감을 남겼다.
허인 학생의 지도교수 최윤라 교수(성균관대학교 의과대학 병리학교실)는 “학생이 열심히 하는 모습을 옆에서 지켜보는 것만으로도 큰 기쁨 이였는데, 이렇게 수상을 하니 직접 수상한 것보다도 더욱 기쁘다”며 “지식, 정보 등은 예전보다 쉽게 얻을 수 있는 사회가 되었다. 하지만, 성장할 수 있는 "기회"를 얻기 위해서는 아직도 몸을 많이 움직여야 하는 것 같다”고 말했다.
허인 학생의 연구초록은 Experimental Biology 2021 학회의 구연으로 선정되어 4월 29일(목) 발표 예정이며, 초록은 The FASEB journal에 게재될 예정이다.
학생연구 프로그램에 참가한 모든 학생들은 2020학년도 프로그램 기반 장학금을 수혜받을 예정이다. 올해도 이 프로그램은 진행될 계획이다.
