Professor Joo-Yong Hahn of the Department of Medicine received a Presidents Commendation at the 2021 Government Award Ceremony for Persons of Merit in Health and Medical Technology Promotion hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency on November 23.

Prof. Joo-Yong Han has been steadily conducting research in the field of acute myocardial infarction, which has a high mortality rate and a large socio-economic ripple effect,  and has published papers in world-renowned journals.

Representative studies include a study on the appropriate duration of double antiplatelet therapy in patients with acute myocardial infarction (published in Lancet), the establishment of a new antiplatelet treatment basis for P2Y12 monotherapy after coronary intervention (published in JAMA), acute myocardial infarction There are studies demonstrating the efficacy of long-term treatment with beta-blockers in patients (published in the European Heart Journal).
