On October 7, Dr. Seung-won Lee (Department of Precision Medicine, Basic Medicine) and his research team (Medical Big Data Laboratory) appeared on the YTN Science Forum to give a lecture on analyzing health and disease through medical big data.
The Medical Big Data
Lab researches medical big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and
digital health with the motto of innovative technologies in healthcare and
medical fields, and new diagnosis and treatment led by data and artificial
intelligence.
In the broadcast, the
role of medical big data for the future of medicine and the latest research of
the Medical Big Data Lab were explained, which can be replayed by clicking the

In addition, the lab announced that it published two
excellent papers on September 20 in collaboration with clinical experts.
1) Collaboration
with ophthalmologists to publish in Ophthalmology (IF 14.3)
“Retinal
artery and vein occlusion risks after COVID-19 or COVID-19 vaccination
2) In collaboration
with pediatricians, published in Nature Communications (IF 17.7)
“Breastfeeding
and impact on childhood hospital admissions: a nationwide birth cohort in South
Korea”
