only) Information on application for exemption from qualification test
The alternation of qualification for submission of dissertations (Dissertation
examination: english + comprehensive exam)
Students who meet the following requirements may submit an application for exemption
from the qualification for submission of dissertations upon recommendation by
their advisor. After approval by the dean, they may receive recognition for an
alternative submission of dissertations (Dissertation examination: english + comprehensive
exam).

Fulfillment of Major Knowledge (the required courses) + ② Fulfillment of academic
journal publication + ③ Fulfillment of qualifying exam application qualification
(credits + safety Education) + ④ Advisor recommendation (= Advisor Signature)
※ Exemption
from foreign language exam and major exam at the same time is only available
for the masters course. The Ph.D. or M.S.-Ph.D. integrated course students must
take the QE (qualification test).

On-line application
for the English/Comprehensive exam and off-line alternative
recognition application must be conducted in GLS.

Even if eligible
for alternative recognition, the English/Comprehensive exam online application
must be separately completed during the application period

academic paper as first author (including SCIE and SSCI)
※ Date of research
achievement for alternative recognition: Only recognized if achieved after
admission to the degree program (upcoming publications are not recognized)
② Fulfillment of
one subject A or above in the required courses and advisor recommendation

Application Qualification
|
① 15 credits or more and GPA 3.0 or more in the
Masters course (usually apply within 3 semesters)
② Submission of safety courses completion certificate
for each semester during the relevant period |

① Directly apply
for English/Comprehensive exam via GLS within the application period, obtain
advisor recommendation, and submit application form.
② After applying
via GLS, submit the attached file and relevant supporting documents to the
administrative office

※ Doctoral and
Integrated Program students are not eligible for alternative recognition
application (obligatory QE participation)
※ After your
application for the qualification test is approved, you must apply exemption
from qualification test on GLS. (Exemption is not possible without GLS
application)
